Floyd Field Papers, 1935-1936.

Papers include correspondence with C.M. Sarratt concerning an altercation between Georgia Tech students and the Vanderbilt University marching band during a 1935 football game. Also included is a report written by Field in 1936, entitled "Accrediting the Engineering College."

Floyd Field (1873-1959) began teaching in Georgia Tech's mathematics department in 1900, becoming head of the department in 1908. In 1922, he was named Dean of Students. Field retired in 1945.
